Let’s Get All Hot and Sweaty
SUMMER I MISS YOU!!!!!
Ok. I got that out. You see it is very dreary, cold, rainy and totally dull today in old Sydney town and I am trying with all my might to pretend that the weekend won’t be the same. Gimme some sunshine! Last week I spent Saturday morning eating a bacon and egg roll lying in the sun with my best friend watching puppies frolick and babies run in Sydney Park. I felt like I had entered Teletubby Land.
So with a little help from my friends at 2Threads and the new summer catalogue by Myer I have decided to put together a little ditty about what I shall be wearing on those days when the sweat builds up on your brow and all you want to do is dive head first into a cold wave at the beach.
Now, we all know colour blocking is back in a big way so queue CUE:
The colours remain true to dusty riviera type setting, but with Cue’s lovely tailoring. Think tequila sunrise. Yes, that’s it. TEQUILA SUNRISE IS THIS SUMMERS PALATE.
Next is my most saught after item, and as a rather height challenged individual this is a rather hard task. The Maxi Dress, but god damn this Bianco Liano dress is devine. Just imagine how it would blow in the wind while you stood on the rocks near Bronte beach, or how you could slip on some heels and make your way over to cocktails at ummm well anywhere that sells alcohol. *Remember Tequila Sunrise*
So lastly the dreaded swim suit. I am a big fan of bears, aren’t they cute. Well hibernating in winter often means that my fitness and food intake ain’t so summer appropriate.
I would run into the water with my towel still around me, only to fling it to shore the moment I was safely hidden in the blue waters if it didn’t make me look like a total spazz.
But then like magic, like the cave of wonders opening to Aladdin, I found my saviour. The one-piece, Seafolly I may hug you:
So now we are ready, all we have to do it wait until the weather catches up to our wardrobes.
